"北, 모든 국가 위협…새 외교절차 지원준비" 유럽연합(EU)은 19일(현지시간) 북한이 전날 장거리 탄도미사일 발사한 것은 국제사회와 지역의 평화와 안보를 위협하는 위험하고 무모한 행동이었다고 비판했다.EU 외교부 격인 대외관계청(EEAS) 대변인은 이날 성명을 내어 "북한의 핵과 미사일 프로그램은 모든 국가를 위협하고 있다"며 "유엔 안전보장이사회(안보리)의 적절한 대응이 필요하다"고 밝혔다.

[이미지출처=연합뉴스]EEAS는 "북한은 탄도 미사일 발사를 즉각 중단하고 미국, 한국과 건설적인 대화에 나서야 한다"고 촉구하며 "EU는 북한의 국제적인 비확산 체제 훼손을 절대 용납하지 않을 것"이라고 덧붙였다.이어 "지속 가능한 평화와 안보를 위한 유일한 길은 북한이 한반도의 완전하고 검증 가능하며 돌이킬 수 없는 비핵화를 보장하기 위한 행동에 나서는 것"이라며 "EU는 새로운 외교 절차를 지원할 준비가 돼 있다"고 덧붙였다.
